Anyang Steel to hike CRC output

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Mar 23 - As the largest CRC producer in Henan, Anyang Iron and Steel Co. (Anyang Steel) plans to produce about 70,000t of CRC in March, up from 45,000t in February.
"The demand from downstream industries would pick up and we would receive more orders from clients, so we decided to increase CRC output by about 55.6% MoM to 70,000t in March," said a source from the company, adding that they have more expectation for rising demand in the coming month.
Anyang Steel has one CRC production line with an annual production capacity of 1.0 million tons. It recorded an output of almost 700,000t in 2022, down from nearly 800,000t in 2021. It produced about 75,000t of CRC in the first two months of this year, holding no stock at present.
In Anyang, Henan, the mainstream price of CRC SPCC 1.0mm*1,250mm*C from Anyang Steel hovered at RMB4,570/t (USD664/t) on Wednesday, up by RMB20/t (USD3/t) from Tuesday. Upon rising prices of raw materials but limited demand from downstream clients at the moment, CRC prices would keep firm in coming two days.
