Shanxi to carry out 100-day inspection campaign on local mine production safety

On February 26, the Department of Emergency Management of Shanxi Province announced a 100-day strengthened inspection campaign on mine production safety around the province.
The campaign will last until end of May with inspections to be carried out simultaneously at the three tiers of mines, city/county governments, and provincial monitoring groups. All mines directly under city government administration will be inspected and other city-level mines will be inspected at a proportion of 10%. All mines directly under county government administration will be inspected. Provincial monitoring groups will undertake patrolling inspections.
