Gansu Hexi Silicon New Material Co., Ltd. announced to put the first phase of its 200ktpy new silicic material comprehensive utilization project into commercial production recently. The RKEF No.1 is designed to produce 40t of industrial silicon per day, contributing to a monthly output of about 1,200t, and all the products will be sold outside the province.
The project, with a total investment of RMB2.365 billion (USD0.34 billion), covers an area of 775mu. After completion, it will consume 2,500GWh of electricity in surplus locally per year and push forward the upgrading of the local manufacturing industry and the high-quality development of the new energy industry.
