Number of China's enterprises producing more than 100Mt raw coal in 2022 increases to 7

According to preliminary statistics from Department of Statistics and Information, China National Coal Association, the number of enterprises producing more than 50 million tons of raw coal in 2022 recorded 15, in line with 2021. The raw coal output of these enterprises totaled about 2.59 billion tons, showing an increase of about 130 million tons or about 4.5% over previous year, accounting for about 58% of the country's total.
In 2022, there were 7 enterprises that produced over 100 million tons of raw coal each in China, which respectively were China Energy, Jineng Holding Group, Shandong Energy Group, China Coal, Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group, Shanxi Coking Coal Group and LU'AN Chemical Group. Among them, raw coal output of China Energy exceeded 600 million tons; and that of LU'AN Chemical Group exceeded 100 million tons for the first time, becoming the seventh enterprise in China with an annual production of over 100 million tons. The seven Groups totally produced about 2.05 billion tons of raw coal in 2022, an increase of about 110 million tons or 7% from 2021, accounting for 46% or so of the country's total.
