Daqo's 100ktpy high-purity silicon substrate & 20ktpy semiconductor Si-based material project settles in Baotou

On January 1, the government of Jiuyuan District of Baotou, Inner Mongolia, along with Xinjiang Daqo New Energy Co., Ltd., held a signing ceremony for the investment agreement on a 100ktpy high-purity silicon substrate and 20ktpy semiconductor silica-based material project.
Under the agreement, Daqo New Energy will construct a 100ktpy high-purity silicon substrate and 20ktpy semiconductor silica-based material project in Jiuyuan District, on the basis of the first phase which is a 100ktpy high-purity polysilicon and 1ktpy semiconductor polysilicon project. The project, occupying 1,500mu in total with an investment of RMB17.3 billion (USD2.52 billion), will break ground in the first quarter of 2023 and come on stream by the end of 2023 on schedule. Upon reaching design capacity, the project will bring an annual output value of RMB15.1 billion (USD2.2 billion), profits of RMB8 billion (USD1.16 billion), as well as tax of RMB2.5 billion (USD364 million).
