Chinese copper smelters keep copper concentrate TCs unchanged for Q1 2023

China Smelters Purchase Team (CSPT) has decided to maintain treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) for copper concentrate in the first quarter of 2023 at USD93 per tonne and 9.3 cents per pound, unchanged from Q4 2022 but higher than USD70 per tonne and 7 cents per pound in Q1 2022, mainly due to expectations of increasing global supply, according to sources familiar with the matter.
