Dragged by sharp freeze in memory chip market, the global semiconductor market would shrink by 4.1% to USD557 billion in 2023, marking the industry's first decline since 2019, according to the latest forecast from the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS).
WSTS also stated that the shrink will be mainly concentrated in Asia-Pacific region (-7.5%), with the market size of other regions such as Japan, the United States and Europe to roughly remain flat or grow slightly.
