MIIT: China's consumer electronics production and sales rank world's first

Xu Wenli, deputy director of Electronic Information Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT), recently said at a press conference that China's consumer electronics industry continues to expand, ranking the world's first both in scale of production and scale of sales. At present, China is an important global manufacturing base for consumer electronics products with most of the world's major electronic production and OEM enterprises having built their manufacturing bases and R&D centers in China.
