Poland's coal output up by 2.1% YoY in Jan-Sept

According to statistics released by the Central Statistical Office of Poland, Poland's coal production from January to September 2022 totaled 80.948 million tons, 1.681 million tons more than that in the same period of previous year, representing an increase of 2.1% year-on-year. The output of its hard coal in the period recorded 39.724 million tons, down by 3.1% year on year; and its lignite production posted 41.224 million tons, up by 7.7% YoY.
In September, Polish coal production was 8.494 million tons, down by 5.0% year-on-year and 3.0% month-on-month. The output of its hard coal was 3.842 million tons, down by 15.2% year-on-year and 0.3% month-on-month; and its lignite output in the month reached 4.652 million tons, rising by 5.5% year on year while declining by 5.2% month on month.
