WBMS: Global lead market records deficit of 146,000 tons in Jan-Aug

According to the data released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) on October 19, the global lead market saw supply shortage of 146,000 tons from January to August 2022, while the supply dedicit recorded 82,800 tons in 2021
From January to August this year, the global output of refined lead (primary and secondary) reached 9,616,400 tons, an increase of 2.5% over the same period last year . China's apparent demand is estimated to be 4,803,700 tons, up by 77,600 tons from the same period last year . During the same period, the apparent demand of the United States increased by 20,700 tons year-on-year.
In August, the global refined lead output posted 1,230,200 tons, while the demand recorded 1,267,100 tons.
