Shanghai will advance the development of wide-bandgap semiconductor compounds such as SiC and GaN, further raise wide-bandgap semiconductor compounds crystal production technology level and expand production scale, promote wide-bandgap semiconductor wafer manufacturing technology, enhance the design capability of wide-bandgap semiconductor chip products and broaden the application of such products, according to an action plan issued by the city on October 11.
