Chinese authorities conduct regulatory talk with major polysilicon producers

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with the State Administration of Market Regulation and the National Energy Administration, recently summoned key polysilicon producers and related institutions to meetings in a bid to promote the synergistic development of the upstream and downstream segments of the domestic photovoltaic industry.
The three authorities called out attending companies to insist on win-win cooperation, standardize their management and avoid price gouging, hoarding and speculation. They vowed to strengthen supervision and crack down on irregularities, including price gouging and selling counterfeits, aiming for the overall sustainable and healthy development of the industry.
