Sichuan Liangshan receives 100ktpy polysilicon project

On September 29, the signing ceremony of Liangshan green power silicon material industrial chain extension project was held in Xichang City, Liangshan Prefecture of Sichuan. The project takes an area of about 2,000mu to produce 100,000 tons of industrial silicon, 100,000 tons of polycrystalline silicon and 400,000 tons of organosilicon monomers and derivatives per year as planned, with an investment of RMB13.85 billion (USD1.95 billion).
The first phase of the project, which will produce 100,000 tons of industrial silicon and 50,000 tons of polycrystalline silicon, is planned to be constructed within this year and come into commercial production by the end of June 2024. What's more, the whole project will bring a total annual output value of RMB25 billion (USD3.52 billion) after completion.
