GACC: China's copper ore and concentrate imports up by 20.4% YOY in Aug

Latest data released by General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) indicated that China imported 2.27 million tons of copper ore and concentrate in August 2022, rising by 20.4% YOY and 19.5% MOM; the imports in the first eight months of 2022 totaled 16.635 million tons, an increase of 9.0% compared with the same period of last year.
In particular, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper products stood at 498,200t in August 2022, increasing by 26.4% YOY and 7.4% MOM; the total imports from January to August 2022 were 3.903 million tons, rising by 8.1% against the corresponding period in the previous year.
