GACC: China's steel exports rise by 17.7% YOY in Jul

Data released by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) on August 7 showed that China exported 6.671 million tons of steel in July 2022, down by 886,000 tons from the previous month, while up by 17.7% year on year; from January to July 2022, China's total export of steel recorded 40.73 million tons, a decrease of 6.9% year on year.
In July, China imported 789,000 tons of steel, down by 2,000 tons from the previous month, declining by 24.9% year on year; from January to July, the steel China imported totaled 6.559 million tons, down by 21.9% year on year.
In July, the iron ore and its concentrate China imported posted 91.244 million tons, rising by 2.275 million tons from the previous month and increasing by 3.1% year on year; and that China imported in January to July were 626.823 million tons, down by 3.4% year on year.
