China aims to further reduce crude steel output this year after cutting nearly 30 million tonnes of production in 2021, an official from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said on April 19.
The state planner said the country will continue its efforts to guide steel companies to abandon the model of inefficient and blind development but focus on the high-quality development so as to ensure a year-on-year decline in crude steel production this year.
