Annual production capacity of coal mines in Xinjiang reaches 240Mt by late 2021

According to Xinjiang Development and Reform Commission, by the end of December 2021, there were 64 coal mines in production in the whole region with a total production capacity of 240.54 million tons per year.
In terms of production capacity, there were 23 coal mines (36% of coal mines in production in the whole region) that produced no less than 3 million tons of capacity per year and their combined production capacity were 199 million tons (83% of the capacity produced by coal mines in production in the whole region). There were 8 mines that produced no less than 10 million tons of capacity, with a combined capacity of 130 million tons.
There were 26 coal mines in construction with a production capacity of 59.3 million tons per year, including 16 new coal mines and 10 renovated coal mines with annual production capacity of 51.25 million tons and 8.05 million tons respectively.
