Data from Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission showed that in February 2022, main thermal power plants in Chongqing purchased almost 1.37 million tons of coal, down by 21.43% year on year. From January to February in 2022, the plants purchased about 2.96 million tons of coal, down by 21.12% year on year.
In February, the main thermal power plants consumed nearly 2.06 million tons of coal, up by 28.34% YoY. From January to February, coal consumption of the plants totaled about 4.32 million tons, up by 4.34% YoY.
