U.S. makes determinations in industrial injury of fifth anti-dumping sunset review on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings

On January 20, 2022, the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) voted to make a final affirmative determination on the industrial injury of the fifth anti-dumping sunset review of carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings imported from China, Taiwan China, Brazil, Japan and Thailand: it ruled that if the current anti-dumping measures were cancelled, the substantial injury caused by the import of the products involved to the domestic industry of the United States might continue or recur within a reasonable and foreseeable period. In the ruling, five members of the U.S. International Trade Commission voted yes. According to the final decision, the current anti-dumping measures in this case remain in place.
On July 1, 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to initiate the fifth anti-dumping sunset review investigation on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings imported from China, Taiwan China, Brazil, Japan and Thailand. On September 17, 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce made an affirmative final ruling for the fifth anti-dumping fast sunset review of the case. The U.S. Harmonized Tariff Number for the products involved is 7307.93.30.
