According to the data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on January 17, from January to December 2021, China's crude steel output recorded 1.03 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.0%.
In December, China produced 86.19 million tons of crude steel, a month-on-month increase of 24.4% but a year-on-year decrease of 6.8%. According to this calculation, the average daily output of crude steel in December reached 2.78 million tons, up by 20.3% from the previous month.
