Four ministries: Subsidy standard for NEV in 2022 to decline by 30% on basis of 2021

The Ministry of Finance announced on December 31, 2021 that recently the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Development and Reform Commission (hereinafter referred to as the four ministries) jointly issued the "Notice of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Development and Reform Commission on the Financial Subsidy Policies for Promotion and Application of New Energy Vehicle (NEV).
The Notice clarifies the subsidy standards for different types of vehicle products in different fields, and will be implemented from January 1, 2022: The subsidy standard for NEV purchases in 2022 will be reduced by 30% on the basis of 2021; the subsidy standard for NEV in urban public transportation, road passenger transportation, rental (including online car-hailing), environmental sanitation, urban logistics and distribution, postal express, and civil aviation and airport, as well as NEV that meets the requirements in the public sector of the party and government agencies in 2022 will be decreased by 20% on the basis of 2021.
