Coal India's coal output and sales both substantially up YOY in Apr-Jul

According to data released by Coal India on 2 August, the company produced 166.6 million tons of coal in the first four months of the fiscal year (Apr-Jul), up by 5.18% from 158.4 million tons in the same period last year.
During this period, the company sold 210.8 million tons of coal, up by 28.5% from 164 million tons in the same period last year.
Coal India's coal output accounted for more than 80% of the total in India. The company aimed to produce 670 million tons in this fiscal year, with the power industry demand to be about 545 million tons.
The company produced 42.6 million tons of coal in July, up by 14.4% from 37.3 million tons in the same period last year, while it sold 50.5 million tons, up by 16.7% from 43.3 million tons in last July.
