The quarterly report released by the Australian miner South32 Company (South32) shows that in the 2021 fiscal year (July 2020 to June 2021), South32 Company's metallurgical coal output totaled 6.17 million tons, an increase of 11% year-on-year.
In fiscal year 2021, the commercial coal output of Illawarra's metallurgical coal business totaled 7.645 million tons, an increase of 9% year-on-year; sales volume recorded 7.616 million tons, an increase of 5% year-on-year. Specifically, the output of metallurgical coal reached 6.17 million tons, an increase of 11% year-on-year; the sales volume recorded 6.074 million tons, an increase of 4% year-on-year.
In the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2021 (April-June 2021), the metallurgical coal output of Illawarra's metallurgical coal business arrived at 1.34 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12% and a month-on-month decrease of 15%; sales volume recorded 1.367 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17 %, and a month-on-month decrease of 11%.
