Global crude steel production up by 11.6% YOY in Jun

Global crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to World Steel Association (worldsteel) reached 167.9 million tonnes (Mt) in June 2021, up by 11.6% YOY.
Crude steel production from China was 93.9 Mt in June 2021, up by 1.5% from the same period of 2020. India produced 9.4 Mt, up by 21.4% YOY. Japan produced 8.1 Mt, up by 44.4% YOY. The United States produced 7.1 Mt, up by 44.4% YOY. According to estimation, Russia produced 6.4 Mt in June 2021, up by 11.4% YOY. South Korea produced 6.0 Mt, up by 17.35% YOY. Germany produced 3.4 Mt, up by 38.2% YOY. Production from Turkey was 3.4 Mt, up by 17.9% YOY, that from Brazil was 3.1 Mt, up by 45.2% YOY, and production from Iran was estimated at 2.5 Mt, up by 1.9% YOY.
