NDRC expects new advanced coal production capacity to exceed 200 million tons this year

In the first half of this year, China added more than 140 million tons of high-quality advanced production capacity through various methods such as the commissioning of coal mines under construction, nuclear increase of coal production capacity, intelligent transformation and expansion of coal mines, and production of coal mines.
Among them, the coal mines under construction put into production about 90 million tons per year, and the coal mines in production increase the production capacity by about 30 million tons per year. Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region approved the temporary land use for open-pit coal mines to restore production capacity of 18 million tons per year.
At present, coal mines whose production capacities are replaced and undergoing approval for an increase in production capacity are more than 40 million tons per year. In addition, there are still 70 million tons of coal mines under construction and put into operation one after another. In the second half of this year, nearly 110 million tons new high-quality production capacity will be added per year.
