BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Jun 21 - Australia-based Golden Deeps Limited announced the completion of a mining study on the Abenab high-grade Vanadium-Lead-Zinc Project in Namibia.
The study has established that there is potential for a viable underground mining operation focused on the higher-grade portions of the current Mineral Resource at a targeted production rate of 14,500 tonnes per month or 174,000 tonnes per annum of high-grade vanadium ore.
Previous Phase 1 testwork confirmed a 30X upgrade in vanadium concentrate grade was achievable using simple gravity concentration. A Phase 2 processing study is now underway examining potential for production of vanadium pentoxide as well as lead, zinc and potentially copper.
