Australia makes final anti-dumping judgment on surface finished aluminum extrusions from Malaysia

On June 2, 2021, the Anti-Dumping Commission of Australia (hereinafter referred to as "the Commission") issued the Anti-Dumping Notice No. 2021/035, stating that the Minister for Industry, Science and Technology accepted the final anti-dumping recommendation made by the Commission on the surface finished aluminum extrusions imported from Malaysia, that is, the dumping margins of alleged companies of Milleon Extruder Sdn Bhd, LB Aluminium Sdn Bhd, Kamco Aluminium Sdn Bhd and Superb Aluminium Industries Sdn Bhd were 6.1%, 2.6%, 18.5% and 12.8%, respectively, and decided to impose anti-dumping duties on the companies involved. The Australian customs codes of the products involved are 7604.10.00.06, 7604.21.00.07, 7604.21.00.08, 7604.29.00.09, 7604.29.00.10, 7608.10.00.09, 7608.20.00.10, 7610.10.00.12 and 7610.90.00.13.
On February 24, 2020, the Commission issued the Notice No. 2020/019, stating that, on the application submitted by Australian enterprises, it launched an anti-dumping investigation on the surface polished aluminum profiles imported from Malaysia. The products involved in the case are aluminum profiles that are further processed or manufactured (for example, precision cutting, machining, punching or drilling) within a certain limit after being extruded by die. The investigated products do not involve intermediate products or final products processed and manufactured, for example, by changing the properties and physical properties of aluminum profiles after processing or manufacturing to another products. The main companies involved are Press Metal Sdn Bhd, Milleon Extruder Sdn Bhd, LB Aluminium Sdn Bhd, Kamco Aluminium Sdn Bhd, Superb Aluminium Industries Sdn Bhd and Genesis Aluminium Industries Sdn Bhd. On December 9, 2020, the Commission made preliminary anti-dumping judgment regarding this case. On April 29, 2021, the Commission terminated the anti-dumping investigation on Genesis Aluminium Industries Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian company.
