Anshan to vigorously develop magnesium construction materials, magnesium chemicals and other deep processing industries

In order to thoroughly implement the strategic deployment of digital Liaoning and intelligent manufacturing powerful province made by the provincial Party committee and provincial government, Anshan drew up the "special action plan for upgrading time-honored brands, deeply developing provincial native brands and expanding new brands" on 26 May, identifying development orientation and goals of industrial economy in the coming period and putting forward specific tasks.

Anshan will promote industry refinement, accelerate steps of iron and steel industry towards high-level industry chain and value chain, reinforce iron and steel industry chain, efficiently take advantage of magnesite, special resource of the province, reduce development of magnesium refractory materials, vigorously develop magnesium construction materials, magnesium chemicals and other deep processing industries and boost deep processing of tar oil and development of chemical pharmaceutical industry to form the circular economy development pattern.

By 2023, Anshan will be the most complete iron and steel industry chain and value chain base and iron and steel strategic baes covering the whole industry chain, including mineral development, iron and steel production as well as iron and steel production service, targeting the world-class refined and special steel and iron and steel deep processing industry cluster.
