Mexico initiates fifth anti-dumping sunset review investigation against Russian steel coils

On May 27, 2021, the Mexican Ministry of Economic Affairs issued an announcement in the official daily newspaper to initiate the fifth anti-dumping sunset review of steel coils originating in Russia in response to the applications submitted by two Mexican producers on 28 and 30, 2021 respectively
On June 7, 1996, Mexico made a final anti-dumping ruling against Russian steel coils and formally imposed 29.30% anti-dumping duties on the products involved . Mexico extended the validity period of anti-dumping duties on the Russian products involved in the case on June 11, 2003, June 6, 2007, November 22, 2012, and May 2, 2017 respectively . On February 19, 2014, Mexico made a final anti-circumvention ruling on the products involved in the Russian case, and began to impose 29 . 30% of anti-dumping duty on Russian boron alloy steel coils (the current tax code is 7225 . 30 . 07) with a width of ≥600 mm, a thickness between 10 mm - 4 . 75 mm, and a boron content of ≥0 . 0008% .
. The dumping investigation period in this case is from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021, and the damage investigation period is from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2021 . The TIGIE tax numbers of the products involved are 7208 . 10 . 03, 7208 . 25 . 02, 7208 . 37 . 01 and 7225 . 30 . 07 . The announcement took effect on the day after the announcement.
