According to the Coal Mine Safety Supervision Bureau of Shanxi Province, from January to April, there were four accidents in coal mines in the province, with seven deaths, an increase of two accidents and three people from the same period last year, up by 100% and 75% respectively.
From January to April, Shanxi's entire system monitored a total of 728 mines, with 859 mine times inspected, and the monitoring coverage rate reached 80%. 6,889 hidden dangers of general accidents and 73 hidden dangers of major accidents were investigated and dealt with . There were 399 administrative penalties, including 313 administrative penalties on production and business units and 86 administrative penalties on the main person in charge . The administrative fine recorded RMB122,291,800 (USD19,028,604) . 62 mines were ordered to stop production for a rectification, and 5,647 various supervision and law enforcement documents have been issued.
