China's raw coal output rises by 11.1% YoY in Jan-Apr

The data released by National Bureau of Statistics on 17 May showed that China produced 322 million tons of raw coal in April 2021, down by 1.8% year on year but up by 4.0% from April 2019, with the average daily output standing at 10.74 million tons. In the month, China imported 21.73 million tons of coal, down by 29.8% year on year.
In the first four months of 2021, China produced 1.29 billion tons of raw coal, up by 11.1% from the corresponding period last year and up by 12.5% from the same period of 2019, and imported 90.13 million tons of coal, down by 28.8% year on year.
