Cerrejon recently announced that it exported 2.21 million tons of coal in March, a slight increase of 0.5% year-on-year and a significant increase of 70% month on month, reaching a 13-month high.
From January to March, the coal exports of Cerrejon totaled 5.21 million tons, down by 13.17% from 6 million tons in the same period last year.
In March, the company produced 2.2 million tons of coal, up by 22.2% from the previous month. The company's coal productivity has recently returned to the pre-strike level last year, but the company is still not at full capacity due to safety concerns related to the COVID-19 outbreak.
