Jiangxi Xinsheng Tungsten stops APT production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 26 Apr 21 - Due to environmental protection inspectors in Jiangxi, Jiangxi Xinsheng Tungsten Industry Co., Ltd. stopped production of APT 88.5%min early last week and is expected to resume production in late April or early May. The output is expected to be about 300t in April, a source from the company revealed to Asian Metal.
The source said, "Due to the environmental inspection work in Jiangxi, we stopped production of APT 88.5%min ten days ago and expect to resume production of APT 88.5%min in late April or early May. Due to the shutdown, our production in April fell by about 50% from the previous month and is expected to be only about 300t." the source revealed that due to the shutdown of the plant, they currently hold no spot inventory and still have 200t of signed long-term orders to be delivered. Thu, they do not consider selling APT 88.5%min at a price less than RMB148,000/t (USD22,904/t) EXW D/P now.
With an annual production capacity of 10,000t of APT 88.5%min, the producer produced about 5,000t in 2020 and expects to keep the same output in 2021. They expect to produce about 300t in April and produced about 600t in March. They hold no stocks now, stable MOM.
Currently, mainstream prices for Chinese APT 88.5%min stay at RMB146,000-148,000/t (USD22,594-22,904/t) EXW D/P, stable from early this week.
