Raw coal output of Inner Mongolia's enterprises above designated size up by 12.7% YOY in Q1

According to the latest data released by Statistics Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in the first quarter of 2021, local enterprises above designated size totally produced 250 million tons of raw coal, up by 12.7% from the same period last year and 2.5% from the first quarter of 2019, a drop of 12.7 percentage points from the growth rate from January to February, with an average growth rate of 1.2% over the two years.
In terms of regions, in the first quarter, raw coal production in the eastern, central and western regions of Inner Mongolia recorded 76 million tons, 166 million tons and 12 million tons respectively, up by 7.9%, 16.0% and 1.3% year-on-year respectively.
In particular, the raw coal output in Ordos was 161 million tons, accounting for 63.6% of the total output in the region, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%.
From the perspective of enterprise affiliation, in the first quarter, state-owned enterprises in the region produced 160 million tons of raw coal, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%; private enterprises produced 89 million tons of raw coal, up by 17.2%, driving the whole region's raw coal output to increase by 5.8 percentage points.
