India launches first anti-dumping sunset review of seamless tubes pipes and hollow profiles from China

On February 19, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced that, in response to the application submitted by Indian enterprises, the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on seamless tubes pipes and hollow profiles of iron, alloy or non alloy (other than cast iron and stainless steel) originating in or imported from China was launched
On July 8, 2015, at the application of Indian enterprises, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India launched an anti-dumping investigation on seamless steel pipes and hollow profiles originating in China. On February 17, 2017, India began to impose an anti-dumping duty on China's products for a period of five years. The duty is the difference between the CIF price (after deducting/adjusting the safeguard measure taxes) and the minimum price (USD961 . 33-1,610.67/t).
. The products under investigation are seamless tubes pipes and hollow profiles with an outside diameter not exceeding 355 . 6 mm or 14 inches, whether hot rolled or cold drawn or cold rolled . This case involves products under Indian customs code 7304 . The dumping investigation period of this case is from April 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 (18 months), and the injury investigation period is from 2016 to 2017, 2017 to 2018, 2018 to 2019.
