Antam's ferronickel output hits record high in 2020

According to the unaudited production and marketing data released on January 21 by Antam, Indonesia's state-owned miner, in 2020, its ferronickel output reached a new high of 25,970 tons, up nearly 1% from 25,713 tons in the previous year. In particular, the output in the fourth quarter stood at 6,837 tons, with a quarter to quarter growth of 7.3%; its annual ferronickel sales volume was 26,163 tons, down slightly by 0.2% from 26,212 tons in the previous year. In particular, the sales in the fourth quarter stood at 6,639 tons, with a quarter to quarter growth of 2%.
The annual output of nickel ore was approximately 4.76 million wet tons, a drop of 45.3% from the previous year's approximately 8.7 million wet tons, of which the fourth quarter increased by 28% from the previous quarter to 1.9 million wet tons; the annual sales of nickel ore was approximately 3.3 million wet tons, a drop of nearly 57% from the approximately 7.62 million wet tons in the previous year, of which the fourth quarter increased by nearly 101% to 2.09 million wet tons.
