ArcelorMittal Italy to restart No.2 blast furnace

According to the statement made by management of ArcelorMittal Italy at the meeting of early this week, No.2 blast furnace of Ilva will be restarted in the coming days and the total output of the plant is estimated to be around 5 million tons in 2021.
In 2020, ArcelorMittal Italy recorded an output of 3.4 million tons, at historical low.
Affected by technological issues, the restart plan of No.2 blast furnace originally scheduled on 26 January was put off slightly.
