Jianlong Xilin Iron & Steel puts No. 2 coke oven of coking project into operation

On January 12, No. 2 coke oven of the 1.4-million-ton coking project of Jianlong Xilin Iron & Steel in Heilongjiang was officially put into operation.
With a total investment of RMB1.488 billion (USD230 million), the 1.4-million-ton coking project of Jianlong Xilin Iron & Steel started construction on July 10, 2019, and will mainly construct two 72-hole tamping coke ovens with a carbonization chamber height of 5.5 meters, supporting environmental protection facilities and comprehensive energy utilization facilities such as dry quenching, desulfurization and denitration, and power generation via waste gas and waste heat. The designed annual output includes 1.4 million tons of coke, 74,000 tons of tar, 18,000 tons of crude benzene, and power generation of 190 million KWH.
