27 steel companies in Tangshan fully achieve ultra-low emissions

On December 30, 2020, Tangshan held a press conference on the comprehensive management of air pollution in 2020 to announce the work on air pollution prevention and control.
It's learned at the press conference that Tangshan successfully completed steelmaking, ironmaking, coke, coal, and thermal power production capacity reduction tasks in 2020; Tangshan strongly implemented the relocation of the city and shut down the headquarters of Tangsteel and Tangyin Steel as scheduled; Tangshan cleared out scattering and pollution. The number of steel companies dropped from 35 at the end of 2015 to 27 at present.
The city's steel, coking, cement, and electric enterprises fully realized ultra-low emissions. 27 steel and 20 coking companies implemented ultra-low emission standards since October 1, 2020. Tangshan completed the upgrading of 873 industrial furnaces and kilns, and the in-depth management of 13 key enterprises involving volatile organic compounds.
