Inner Mongolia spares no effort to increase production to ensure national winter coal supply

This winter, the national coal supply appears generally tight. As a national coal supply base, Inner Mongolia adopted a number of measures to increase production and ensure supply. According to Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the daily coal production in the region remains at about 3.2 million tons currently, an average daily increase of nearly 600,000 tons compared with the previous three quarters. The average daily coal production in the main production areas of Ordos and Xilin Gol exceeded the best level in the same period last year, which effectively guaranteed the stable supply of the national coal market.
In recent years, Inner Mongolia continuously upgraded its coal supply guarantee capabilities. The total coal production capacity in the region reaches 1.34 billion tons, accounting for 1/4 of the national total production capacity. The production capacity of 10-million-ton coal mines exceeds 40% of the national average level, and the average production capacity of single mine is 2.6 million tons, which is three times of the national average level. The region has built the major coal supply guarantee base in China.
