Sources had it that, following the 2020 national cobalt reserve plan, China will implement another cobalt reserve plan in the first half of 2021, expecting to stock around 3,000t of the metal; plus the 2,000t reserved in 2020, a total of around 5,000t of cobalt will be stocked in the two plans.
