In October, U.S . steel exports to Canada increased by 4 . 8% MOM to 290,086 tons, an increase of 1 . 8% from the same period last year . Exports to Mexico rose by 17 . 6% MOM to 307,207 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11 . 8%.
Other major destinations included Honduras (6,356 tons), Dominican Republic (5,427 tons), India (5,070 tons), China (3,655 tons) and Brazil (3,392 tons).
Steel exports mainly included hot-dip galvanized steel (111,410 tons), hot-rolled coil (90,837 tons), cutting long plate (68,399 tons), cold-rolled coil (54,190 tons) and steel coil (52,424 tons) in October.
