Japan's steel exports fall by 3.1% YOY in Jan-Sep

In the first nine months of 2020, Japan's total exports of steel products fell by 3.1% YOY to 24.64 million tons, according to recent data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF).
From January to September, Japan's largest steel export destination was South Korea, with export volume of 3.77 million tons, down by 8.5% from the same period of last year; Japan exported 1.93 million tons of steel products to China from January to September, down by 22.6% YOY.
Japan exported 2.49 million tons of steel products in September, down by 3.6% from the previous month and 18.8% from the corresponding period of last year, the data showed.
