On September 29, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced that it made the first sunset review final determination on 304 series stainless steel hot rolled plates originating in or imported from China, South Korea and Malaysia. It is suggested to continue to levy anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the above-mentioned countries. The case involved products under Indian customs codes 7219 and 7220.
On March 11, 2014, India filed an anti-dumping investigation on 304 series hot rolled stainless steel plates originated in China, South Korea and Malaysia. On March 9, 2015, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India made an affirmative final judgment on the case. On October 3, 2019, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced that, in response to the application submitted by domestic enterprises in India, the first sunset review investigation on 304 series stainless steel hot rolled plates originating in or imported from China, South Korea and Malaysia was filed. The dumping investigation period is from April 2018 to March 2019 (12 months), and the injury investigation period is from 2015 to 2016, 2016 to 2017 and 2017-2018 and dumping investigation period.
