AM Stats: China's bauxite output down by 1.0% YOY in Aug

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Sep 20 - According to Asian Metal Database, China produced about 6.68 million tonnes of bauxite in August, up by 0.75% MOM while down by 1.0% YOY. China's bauxite output totaled about 49.9 million tonnes from January to August 2020, down by 14.17% compared with the same period of last year.
Based on the data, the bauxite output in Shanxi was about 2.28 million tonnes in August, down by 1.72% MOM, and that in Henan was about 1.63 million tonnes, up by 1.25% MOM. The output in Guangxi was about 1.41 million tonnes in the month, unchanged MOM; that in Guizhou was 1.06 million tonnes, up by 7.07% MOM; that in Yunnan was 300,000 tonnes, unchanged MOM.
