AM Stats: China's aluminum bar output up by 11.0% YOY in Aug

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 21 Sep 20 - According to Asian Metal Database, China produced about 975,800 tonnes of aluminum bar in August, down by 1.3% MOM while up by 11.0% YOY. China's aluminum bar output totaled about 7.1 million tonnes from January to August 2020, up by 8.2% compared with the same period of last year.
Based on the data, the aluminum bar output in Shandong was 252,400t in August, up by 4.51% MOM, and that in Xinjiang was 187,300t, up by 2.52% MOM. The output in Inner Mongolia was 152,500t in the month, up by 5.32% MOM; that in Gansu was 77,900t, up by 2.5% MOM; that in Guangxi was 62,000t, down by 1.59% MOM; that in Qinghai was 49,000t, down by 32.88% MOM.
