In the first eight months of this year, domestic sales of steel products totaled 11.7 million tons, down by 6 . 3% from the same period last year, and the apparent consumption of the material was 13 million tons, down by 7 . 3% YOY.
According to IABr, Brazil's imports of steel products declined by 22.9% YOY to 1 . 3 million tons in January-August this year.
