Jiangxi government announces 2020 tungsten mining quota

Recently, two Jiangxi provincial departments Department of Natural Resources and Department of Industry and Information Technology jointly announced 2020 tungsten mining quota for Jiangxi province. Main points in the the announcement are as follows:
1. Tungsten is a metal whose production must be subject to government administration, and no organizations or individuals can produce the metal without or beyond quotas issued by government. Quotas announced in this notification include quotas previously announced for 2020.
2. City-level natural resources authorities in Jiangxi should break down their own tungsten mining quotas and inform local tungsten mining companies by September 30, and should report their breakdown plans to the provincial natural resources department by October 15.
3. To make better use of tungsten mining quotas, quotas can be adjusted between mines within the same company provided that quotas of the mines in aggregate do not excel the total quota granted to their mother company.
4. To ensure performance efficiency of mining quotas, tungsten mining companies whose actual mining quantity fails to reach 90% of the quota granted to it in 2020 will get a quota in 2021 which is 90% of their 2020 quota.
