AM Stats: China's consumption of imported bauxite up by 3.9% MOM in Jul

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Aug 20 - According to Asian Metal Database, China consumed about 8.8 million tonnes of imported bauxite in July 2020, up by 3.9% MOM and 10.28% YOY. From January to July, China's consumption of imported bauxite totaled about 59.9 million tonnes, up by 19.5% from the same period of last year.
Based on the data, Shandong consumed about 6.09 million tonnes of imported bauxite in July, on par with June, and Shanxi consumed about 1.31 million tonnes, up by 4.8% MOM. The consumption volume in Henan was about 800,000 tonnes in the month, up by 17.65% MOM; that in Chongqing was about 290,000 tonnes, up by 70.59% MOM; that in Inner Mongolia was about 150,000 tonnes, unchanged from June.
