10-million-ton-per-annum V-Ti magnetite project to be constructed in Huade county

According to the government website of Huade, Huade Mengda Titanium Industry Co., Ltd.and Shaanxi Zhongxing Hengtai Investment Holding Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement on the 10-million-ton-per-annum V-Ti magnetite project after the latter paid several visits to the former in 2020 and the two parties had sufficient discussions.
The county government and Shaanxi Zhongxing Hengtai Investment Holding Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement. With a total investment of RMB6 billion (USD0.86 billion), the project will construct 20 submerged arc furnaces of 36,000KVA, 20 refining furnaces and rotary kilns, raw material and finished product warehouses as well as other supporting facilities. After reaching designed production capacity, the project can produce 5 million tons of V-Ti chlorination slag and 3.5 million tons of foundry cast iron every year and record an annual sales revenue of about 27 billion (USD3.86 billion) and an annual tax of over RMB400 million (USD57.25 million). By now, the feasibility study report has been finished.
